Transport and Access
As part of our plan for Hollybush Technology Park, we are proposing two vehicle accesses onto Hollybush Lane, appropriate levels of on-site parking, alongside sustainable and active travel initiatives and the potential for off-site highway improvements.
The site is currently accessed from Hollybush Lane. The proposed technology park would retain and enhance the existing access point (to the south) and provide an additional access point to the north. This would provide convenient access for both the northern and southern sections, whilst maintaining required security parameters for each data centre. Both points will be designed to safely accommodate occasional HGV movements and the anticipated number of staff vehicles.
We are investigating opportunities to improve the Hollybush Lane / A40 Oxford Road junction to manage future traffic conditions in a safe and efficient manner, whilst also delivering much needed pedestrian crossing facilities. These improvements would tie-in with the proposed Hollybush Lane active travel scheme, in order to provide a continuous connection between the local bus stops and the site. We would welcome your comments about what you believe should be improved at this junction.

Public Transport
Future employees of the technology park will be able to commute using a range of public transport options, minimising traffic impacts on surrounding roads. The closest bus stops are on the A40 Oxford Road, around 10-20 minutes’ walk from the site. These stops are served by frequent bus services that provide connectivity to Amersham, High Wycombe and Uxbridge.
The nearest regular stop railway station is Denham Railway Station, which is served by Chiltern Railways and provides rail connections to London Marylebone and High Wycombe. The nearest London Underground Stations are West Ruislip (District Line) and Uxbridge (Piccadilly and Metropolitan Lines).
We are considering the provision of a shuttle bus, providing safe and convenient connections to local railway and Underground stations, and providing a “last-mile” solution for those wishing to travel by public transport.

Active and Sustainable Travel
The technology park will provide a new active travel route for cyclists and pedestrians along the western edge of Hollybush Lane, connecting the site with Oxford Road. This will provide a safe and convenient connection from the northern site access to the local bus stops, Denham Railway Station and beyond. Minor improvements to Hollybush Lane itself will also be introduced to improve visibility, lighting and speed control, thereby improving the active travel environment for all visitors to the park, as well as the local community.

We are also proposing a suite of sustainable travel initiatives.
There will be plentiful on-site cycle parking, changing rooms and showers for staff and visitors alike, complementing the proposed active travel route. The park will provide an appropriate number of car parking spaces (ensuring staff do not park in surrounding roads) whilst still encouraging staff to choose sustainable travel options where possible. The parking arrangements will carefully balance the desire to achieve sensible levels of sustainable travel with the need to accommodate peak parking demand at shift changeover times.
Carpooling will be promoted, with dedicated parking spaces provided, alongside EV charging facilities to enable drivers to charge their vehicles during the working day.
A Travel Plan will be implemented to ensure the continued promotion and facilitation of sustainable travel to and from the site. A dedicated Travel Plan Coordinator will be located on site to help implement the sustainable travel initiatives, monitor usage and undertake annual surveys, reporting to Buckinghamshire Council with a summary of results.
